Greendoor Cafe in Astoria, Oregon

My niece and I tried a new place that opened fairly recently in Downtown Astoria, Oregon. This place is completely gluten free and has Keto, Paleo and Vegan options.

BLTA Sandwich on Almond Flour Bun

We got there around 11:15 in the morning. It was a little rainy that morning, so we opted to sit at one of the two indoor tables. Inside there were a lot of plants, and it has a really nice and bright atmosphere. There are also two tables outside, under an awning.

When you walk in there are some menus on a shelf next to the self serve water station. Once you decide what you want head up to the counter to order. We were greeted immediately upon arriving with one of the friendly owners. It looked like a husband and wife team. I overheard the lady say they opened during the pandemic.

My niece and I both ordered the BLTA Sandwich, which came on a Keto Almond Flour Bun . It comes with some pickled green beans on the side. Oh my gosh it was so good. Perfectly crisped bacon, the avocado was fresh and super juicy tomatoes and their Keto bread was light, fluffy and the edges had just the perfect little crisp to it.

Baked goods

They also had a refrigerated case with some Keto Cake, Cookies, and some Breakfast Sandwiches. I came back before we headed home to get a piece of cake. I think it was a Vanilla Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting and a little ribbon of Strawberry. It was such a treat to find a Keto Dessert. $8 for a slab which I shared with my husband.

Keto Vanilla Cake, yum!

They also sell their house-made Kraut, Kimchi and Hot Sauce, Cafe Mam Coffee, Cold Pressed Juice, and Smoothies.

I will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes. While we were in there, every single person ordered the BLTA. It is definitely a popular sandwich.

The menu.

This looks like an amazing menu with a good selection of items. The Korean Short Ribs would be my first choice to try. Everything sounds yummy. I can’t wait to try it. Love the photo of Kea just chilling. She is so beautiful
